Discount Feature: Adding a Discount to Products or Checks

Turning on the discount feature in the POS system lets you apply discounts to products during a sale. With this feature, you can use different pricing strategies and make customers happier.

Turning On Discount Permission

Before staff can apply discounts in Clopos, you must first give them discount permission:

1. Log in to the back office admin panel.
2. Go to the "Staff" section.
3. On the "Positions" page, click the three dots next to the position you want to change, then click "Edit."
4. In the window that opens, find "Discount" permission near the bottom and turn on the button next to it.
5. Click "Save" to save the changes.

Once you turn on this permission, staff members with permission will be able to apply a discount to any check or product in the terminal system.

Applying a Discount to Checks

If you have turned on the discount feature, you can apply a discount to any open check from the terminal system.

1. Start a "New Order" on the POS terminal, or choose one of the open checks.
2. Choose the order type and add products to the check.
3. Click the check icon on the left side.
4. Choose the discount percentage or amount.
5. Click "Apply."

To remove a discount or change the amount, click the check icon again. You can then click "Delete," or enter a new amount and click "Apply."

Applying a Discount to a Product

Sometimes you need to give a discount to just one product, not the whole check. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Open the check on the POS terminal.
2. Click on the product in the check.
3. Click the check icon on the left side to open the discount section.
4. Enter the discount percentage or amount.
5. Click "Apply."

To remove a discount from a product, open the same product and click "Delete" in the discount section.

Blocking the Discount Feature for Some Products

You can decide whether a discount can be applied to certain products in the system.

Turning Off the Discount Feature for One Product

If you don't want a discount to be applied to a product in the menu, follow these steps:

1. Log in to the back office admin panel.
2. Go to "Menu," then "Products."
3. Choose the product and click "Edit."
4. In the window that opens, turn on "Block Discount" to turn off the discount feature for this product.

Turning Off the Discount Feature for Several Products

If you want to turn off the discount feature for more than one product, you don't need to do it one by one. Just follow these steps:

1. Log in to the back office admin panel.
2. Go to "Menu," then "Products."
3. Click "Bulk Selection" and choose the products.
4. After choosing all the products you want, click "Edit."
5. In the window that opens, answer "No" to the question "Allow discount?" This will turn off the discount feature for these products.
