Importing Ingredients

In the Clopos system, you can import ingredients in bulk.
For this, you need to create a new Excel file and enter the ingredient names, measurement units, and categories in a table.

Creating the Import File

Follow these steps to create the import file:

  • Open MS Excel and create a new file.
  • Add the column names required by the system.

Columns


The columns should be filled in as follows:

  • Name – Enter the name of the ingredient. For example, Flour.
  • Type – Enter "INGREDIENT".
  • Category – Enter the category of the ingredient you want to create. For example, Flour Products.
  • Unit – Enter the measurement unit of the ingredient. For example, kg.
  • Barcode – If the ingredient has a barcode, you can enter it.
  • Cost Price – You can enter the cost price for one unit

After that, enter the names of the ingredients you need into the appropriate fields in the ingredient database.


💡 Important: Measurement units must be written in English.


When you finish all the steps, your Excel file should look like the example shown below.

Importing the File into Clopos


To upload the prepared Import File to the Clopos system:
Menu → Ingredients → Import
Click the Import button.



A window will open. Select the required file and click the Import button.
