Creating a modifier selection
To create a set, first go to Menu → Products, click Create, and create a product of the Recipe (Dish) type. After entering the product's details (name, category, department, etc.) in the Details section, move on to the Modifiers section.

Once the Modifiers window opens, click "+ Add modifier set."

Here you can either create a new set or add a previously created modifier set. If you want to add a previously created set, click on "Create new set," find the set you created earlier, and select it.

At this point you'll see two options: Clone and Add. The Clone button copies the created modifier, and any changes made to it afterward will not affect the original modifier set. The Add button also copies the modifier, but any changes made to it will apply to all sets that include that modifier.

Adjust to portion
Here you'll see two options: Yes and No.
If you select Yes, then as long as portioning is enabled for the products inside the modifier, you'll be able to sell those products by portion. If portioning is not enabled for a product inside the modifier, that product will not be split into portions — regardless of whether portioning is enabled on the modifier's own recipe card. What matters is whether portioning is enabled for the product inside the modifier.

To be able to split a recipe card that has a modifier into portions, you need to enable portioning on that recipe card and also select Yes for "Adjust to portion" in the modifier.
If you select No, it will not be possible to select a portion on a recipe card that has a modifier.
If you're creating a new set, you enter the name you want to give the set. When making your selection, you specify the choice type for the modifier group according to how you intend to use it.

Modifier selection types

• One — Permission to select only one product within the modifier group.
• Several — With this option, it's possible to set a minimum and maximum value.
• • Minimum value — At least the quantity of products entered in this field must be selected within the group.
  • Maximum value — No more products than the quantity entered in this field can be selected within the group.

It's possible to create two or more modifier groups on a single recipe card. For example, you can group salads into one group, soups into another, drinks into another, and so on separately — or you can place them all under the same modifier group.
In the image below, a modifier group with the "Several" selection option has been created for the Combo Menu set.

Here you enter the minimum and maximum values. The number "1" entered in the minimum value field for the group means that at least one selection must definitely be made, while the number "10" entered in the maximum value field means that no more than that number of selections can be made.

Now let's look at how products are added to the modifier group you've created. Click on the name you assigned to the group (e.g., the word "Salads"). Then click the "+ Add" button. Add as many rows as the number of products you want to include in the modifier group.

The fields in the opened section are described as follows:

• Modifier — where the product with a recipe card is entered.
• Name — the section where the product's name is displayed on the terminal for the modifier. It can be changed as desired.
• Image — you can optionally upload an image for each dish.
• Gross — you enter the quantity to be deducted from the warehouse.
• Default — the value entered in this field determines how many units of the product will be selected by default when the selection window opens on the terminal. (For example, if you enter 2 in the Default column next to "Capital salad," when the modifier selection window opens, 2 units of Capital salad will already be selected by the system.)
• Minimum — you enter the minimum number of that product that can be selected within the group, and the same amount must also be entered in the Default field. (For example, if you enter 3 in the Minimum column next to "Capital salad," then 3 units of that product must definitely be selected, and 3 must also be entered in the Default field.)
• Maximum — you enter the maximum number of that product that can be selected within the group. (For example, if you enter 10 in the Maximum column next to "Capital salad," it means no more than 10 can be selected.)
• Price — you can set a different price for each product. The sale price and the modifier price are always added together. (For example, suppose we're setting up the modifier set not as a combo menu, but for toppings added to ice cream. Let's say each topping added costs 0.5 AZN. In addition to the product's sale price, we create the toppings as modifiers and enter their prices. When the product is sold, the price of each selected topping is added on top of the sale price.)

Selecting the "One" option when creating a modifier group sets the condition that only one of the added products can be selected.
After selecting "One" and clicking the Add button, once you've entered the products in the opened window, you designate one as the Default. This product will be automatically selected during the sale. However, the selection can still be changed on the terminal at the time of sale.
