Category

**Category Section **

The Category section is a feature used to group products and ingredients.

To create a category, go to Back Office → Menu → Categories and click the +Create button.


Creating a Category

n this section, you enter the name of the category you want to create.

You can assign a color to the category button or add an image.

If the Inactive option is enabled, this category will be hidden on the sales terminal.

Parent Category

If you select a parent category here, the new category will be created as a sub-category under that parent.

If no parent category is selected, the new category will be created as an independent (top-level) category.


Translation Section

In the Translation tab at the top, you can define how the category name will appear in the QR Menu for different languages.

This allows you to add category names in multiple languages.

You can also create categories specifically for ingredients.

In the Categories section, use the menu filter to switch between Ingredient Categories and Accounting Categories.


💡 Tip:

Created ingredient categories can be assigned to both regular ingredients and semi-finished products.


Accounting Categories allow you to group different types of items (semi-finished products, finished products, and ingredients) under the same category for easier financial tracking and reporting.

This structure helps keep your menu organized, improves navigation for staff and customers, and makes inventory & accounting much more convenient in Clopos POS.
