Ingredient - It is the main object in stock accounting and serves as a means to form the composition of semi-finished products and technical cards.

To create an ingredient, go to the Menu → Ingredients section. Here, you can create ingredients using the Create and Bulk Create buttons.

When clicking the Create button, you can apply certain functions specific to just one ingredient being created. When creating an ingredient, you first specify its name, category (optional), and the unit of measurement used.Let's create an ingredient as an example.

Name - Enter the product's name.

Barcode - The product's barcode is entered in this field. The barcode is unique for each product and cannot be duplicated. By connecting a barcode reader to the sales terminal, you can also sell products using barcodes. It is possible to assign one or more barcodes to this section. If you have an existing barcode, you can enter it. If you don't have a barcode, you can add a new one using the Generate Barcode button. The generated barcode is created only once and cannot be repeated.

SKU - The product's internal unique identification code (SKU) is used to quickly find products in the system, distinguish them in reports, and track stock. Even after the product is created, you can edit this field to change or delete the SKU code. This makes system management easier and provides more accurate data for product tracking.

Accounting Category - If you have created an accounting category, you can specify it here.

Category - If you have created a category, you can specify it here. (For example, the "dairy products" category. Adding ingredients to categories can make your work easier during inventory.)

Unit - When adding the ingredient to a technical card or semi-finished product composition, you must specify the unit that will be used. Because you will both procure and sell using that same unit. (For example, if the lemon ingredient is created with the "Piece" unit, then both procurement and sales reports must be based on pieces.)

Base unit weight, kg - Used to view the weight of ingredients purchased by piece. (For example, if you enter the weight of one lemon here, you can see the food quantity in weight in places where the product is used (technical card or semi-finished product).)

When using the Bulk Create function, you have the opportunity to create multiple ingredients at once. In this case, you can only specify the name, category, and unit for the ingredients. You can add new empty fields for creating additional ingredients using the Add button.

Low stock - The quantity specified here allows you to monitor product stock that is about to run out in warehouse balances. (For example, if you enter 3 here, when you select the low stock filter in the Stock section, ingredients with quantities below the specified amount will appear.)

Notification - If you activate this button and the "Minimum stock notification" is also enabled in the Manager program, you will automatically receive a notification on your phone when the product stock in the warehouse decreases.

Disable warehouse accounting - When this function is activated for an ingredient, none of the warehouse processes (procurement, inventory, etc.) will affect this ingredient. (For example, calculating salt as an ingredient is often difficult. In such cases, you can use the disable warehouse accounting function.)

💡 Once the "Disable warehouse accounting" button is activated, it cannot be deactivated again. When this function is activated, the quantity in the warehouse will be reset to zero.

Sometimes, the ingredient you want to create already has a certain actual quantity in your warehouse. To reflect this in the system, you can directly add it to the warehouse during creation.

Initial quantity - The amount entered here will be created as stock in your warehouse.

Initial stock cost - The price entered here will be the cost price per unit (piece, kg, g, l, m).

**Initial warehouse **- This section specifies which warehouse the ingredient will be added to.

Units - In this section, you can select and add from the packaging types created in the existing **Inventory **section. These selected units can be used during Warehouse Procurement, Transfer, and Write-off (Waste).

You can obtain detailed information about creating packaging by clicking on the word Packaging.

To perform operations with ingredients, you can use the filters in the top menu of the relevant section.

To see what an ingredient is part of (in a technical card, semi-finished product, or modifier), click on the ingredient. A window will open on the right side, where you can see what the ingredient is used in and how much is used.

You can edit or delete ingredient information. To do this, right-click on the ingredient or click the three dots next to the ingredient and make your selection.
