Serving the portion

Having different portion sizes is very important for restaurants. Options such as 0.5, 1, and 1.5 portions allow customers to choose according to their appetite and budget. This not only improves customer satisfaction but also reduces food waste. Offering different portion sizes also helps restaurants serve a wider range of customers.

Assigning Portions to Products

To sell products by portion, go to the Back Office (admin panel). From the menu, select the product you want to sell by portion and click Edit to modify it. Enable the Portion option and click Save.

After this feature is activated for the product, it will be possible to sell the product by portion in the terminal.

If you want to apply this setting to multiple products at once, you can use the Bulk Operation feature.

Applying Portions

To be able to sell a product by portion, the Portion function must be enabled.

After this section is activated (if the product allows portion selection), a new window will appear. In this window, you can choose one of the standard portion options or enter a custom portion amount and proceed with the sale.

If you do not want the portion selection window to appear, you can disable the Portion feature from the same section.

Applying a Portion to a Product Later

If a product has been added to the receipt without selecting a portion, it can be changed later.

Find the product in the receipt and click on it. Then select the desired portion from the Portion section.

Portions for Products with Modifiers

Portions can also be enabled for technical cards (recipes) with modifiers.

If the products inside the modifier have the portion feature enabled, they can be sold by portion. However, if a product inside the modifier does not have the portion feature enabled, it will not be divided into portions, even if the portion feature is enabled in the main technical card.

In this case, the portion setting of the product inside the modifier is the determining factor.

To divide a technical card with modifiers into portions, you need to enable the Portion option in the technical card and set “Adapt to Portion” to Yes in the modifier settings.
