Paying a supplier debt

There are two types of supplier debt payments:

Partial payment – You pay part of the debt, and the remaining amount will be paid later.

Full payment – You pay the entire debt for the invoice at once.

Making a Partial Payment

By choosing one of these payment options, you can manage the debt to the supplier. To pay a supplier debt, first go to the Inventory section, then to Suppliers. Click the Make Payment button located at the top right.

Expense and Income Transactions:

For both types of transactions, the following information is entered:

  • The amount to pay to the supplier
  • From which balance the amount will be debited/credited
  • Which supplier will receive the payment
  • The transaction category
  • In the Operation Time field, we enter the date the payment is made
  • You can add optional notes in the Description field or leave it blank

Then click the Save button.

  • An Expense transaction is used to pay the supplier and reduces our debt.
  • An Income transaction is used to record a payment received from the supplier, which increases our balance.

Full Payment of an Invoice

If you want to pay for a delivery, click the three dots on the delivery and then click the Make Payment button. Using this method, the debt for the invoice is fully settled.

Supplier deposits are shown in red, and the debt to the supplier is shown in green.

To see a supplier’s debt, payments, and deliveries in detail, click on the supplier’s name. This will redirect the page to Finance → Transactions → Supplier Transactions.
