# Products Sold by Weight

To create products sold by weight, navigate to the **Menu → Products** section in the Back Office. Click the **Create** button and select the [Technical Card](https://help.clopos.com/tr/articles/11186572-adding-a-technical-card) option. After entering the product name, price, barcode, and other details, activate the **Sold by Weight** function.

When adding the product to a receipt, a new window will appear. In this window, calculations can be made based on either weight or value.

If the calculation is based on weight, you can specify the product’s weight in grams or kilograms. For example, entering 0.1 in the kilogram field means 100 grams of the product will be added to the receipt. The product’s selling price is calculated based on the price specified in the technical card. If desired, the selling price can be modified for a specific receipt. When the selling price is changed, the original price before the change is displayed at the bottom of the window.

Once the weight is entered, the system automatically calculates the price based on the entered weight.

If the calculation is based on value, when setting an additional price beyond the original price, we enter the new price, and the system automatically calculates the product’s weight based on this price.

|| 💡 If you are using a scale, all these processes are carried out directly on the scale. When you scan the barcode, the product's price and weight are automatically added to the receipt.
