If you select a **parent category** here, the new category will be created as a **sub-category** under that parent.

This allows you to add category names in multiple languages.
You can also create categories specifically for **ingredients**.

|| 💡 **Tip**:
Created **ingredient categories** can be assigned to both regular **ingredients** and **semi-finished products**.

**Accounting Categories** allow you to group different types of items (semi-finished products, finished products, and ingredients) under the same category for easier financial tracking and reporting.
This structure helps keep your menu organized, improves navigation for staff and customers, and makes inventory & accounting much more convenient in Clopos POS.
