# 🆕 Barcode Generator: Production and Expiry Date

🆕 **New Feature: Production and expiry dates on barcodes**
It is now possible to manage production and expiry dates when printing barcodes.
🔄 **How does it work?**
When the Barcode Generator module is active, it is possible to set a storage duration (in hours or days) for products of type Ingredient, Semi-finished product, Ready-made product, and Tex. karta.
When products are selected in **Menu → Products** and **"Print Barcodes"** is chosen:
* 🗓️ The production date is automatically filled with the current date (the user can change it)
* ⏳ The expiry date is automatically calculated based on the storage duration
* 🏷️ Whether these dates appear on the barcode is managed from the **Barcode settings**
🎯 **Result:**
* 📦 Fewer manual errors in the labeling process
* ⏱️ Automatic and accurate calculation of expiry dates
* 📊 Easier control over inventory and production
