# Activate the firewalls

Activating firewalls is essential to ensure connectivity and data exchange between all devices connected to the same network. To do this, follow the sections indicated in the image step by step.

||  If these settings are disabled, connection issues with devices on the network are inevitable.

||  These operations apply only to devices running the Windows operating system.

First, go to the **Search** area (1) located at the bottom left of your device screen, type **Firewall** in the search panel (2), and then click on the corresponding section that appears (3).

In the opened window, click on **Advanced Settings** (4).

In the next step, perform the operations marked as (5) and (6) consecutively to proceed.

||  After completing all operations, you must click **OK**. Otherwise, the changes you made will not be saved.
